3. Actually now that I think about it, that was about 18 years ago. Man how time flies! I was a poor collage student back then.

Oh, I should add that I replaced it LIVE, without getting the power company to shutoff the power. I carefully pulled and taped off the wires and gingerly eased the wires out of the box. If we had done anything wrong it might have sent us to the hospital. if those two 110 leads touched (a 220v difference) it would have made a heck of a spark.

I upgraded an old fuse box to a breaker box about 10 years ago. Man I was scared! But if we called the power company, the regulators, inspecters and tax men would have descended upon us with a vengeance. We could just afford the breaker box but not the government bs that would go with it.
